Drug intelligence / Profile preview
B-New is a preclinical-stage small molecule inhibitor targeting the Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 3 (STAT3), developed by JW C&C Research Lab. STAT3 is a transcription factor that plays a pivotal role in oncogenesis by regulating the expression of genes involved in cell cycle progression, apoptosis resistance, and angiogenesis. It is frequently overactivated in a wide range of solid tumors and is also implicated in inflammatory diseases. The B-New program leverages JW C&C's proprietary CLOVER drug discovery platform to develop potent and selective inhibitors that can effectively block STAT3-mediated gene transcription, offering a potential therapeutic approach for cancers that are often resistant to conventional therapies.
