Overview

B1655 is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody developed by Tianjin Tasly Biopharmaceutical for the treatment of hypercholesterolemia. It functions as a PCSK9 inhibitor, binding to proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) to prevent the degradation of low-density lipoprotein receptors (LDLR) on the surface of hepatocytes. This action increases the density of LDLRs, facilitating the clearance of circulating low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C). B1655 is currently being evaluated in Phase 3 clinical trials for patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia.
