Overview
B2318 is a long-acting injectable (LAI) formulation of the atypical antipsychotic brexpiprazole, developed by Bostal Drug Delivery for once-monthly (1M) administration. As a serotonin-dopamine activity modulator (SDAM), brexpiprazole acts as a partial agonist at the dopamine D2 and serotonin 5-HT1A receptors and as an antagonist at the serotonin 5-HT2A receptor. B2318 is currently in Phase 3 clinical development for the treatment of schizophrenia and agitation associated with dementia due to Alzheimer's disease. The product leverages Bostal's specialized drug delivery technology to provide a sustained-release profile, aiming to improve patient adherence and therapeutic outcomes compared to daily oral dosing.
