Overview

B7-H3 SIR-T is an investigational autologous cell therapy being developed by Angeles Therapeutics for the treatment of solid tumors. The therapy utilizes the company's proprietary Synthetic Immune Receptor (SIR) technology, which involves engineering T cells to express a receptor designed to mimic the natural T-cell receptor (TCR) complex. Unlike traditional Chimeric Antigen Receptors (CARs), the SIR platform is intended to provide more physiological signaling, potentially leading to enhanced sensitivity to low-antigen density and improved persistence within the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. The target, B7-H3 (CD276), is an immune checkpoint protein that is frequently overexpressed in a wide range of solid tumors, including neuroblastoma and various carcinomas, while showing limited expression in normal tissues. B7-H3 SIR-T is currently in the IND-enabling stage of development.
