Drug intelligence / Profile preview
B901 is an investigational antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) targeting Claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2), developed by Mingji Biopharmaceutical (Medilante Biopharma). The agent consists of a humanized monoclonal antibody specific for CLDN18.2 conjugated to a cytotoxic payload via a stable linker. CLDN18.2 is a tight junction protein frequently overexpressed in various solid tumors, including gastric, gastroesophageal junction, and pancreatic cancers, while maintaining restricted expression in normal tissues, making it a highly selective therapeutic target. B901 is designed to deliver the cytotoxic agent directly to tumor cells, leading to cell death upon internalization. It is currently undergoing Phase I clinical evaluation in China for the treatment of locally advanced or metastatic solid tumors in patients who are refractory to or intolerant of standard treatments.
