Overview

BA-102 is a small-molecule inhibitor of neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS) being developed by NeuroNOS, a subsidiary of Beyond Air, in collaboration with The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The drug is designed to reduce the production of nitric oxide in the brain, thereby lowering nitrosative stress and potentially reversing phenotypes associated with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). BA-102 has received Orphan Drug Designation from the FDA for the treatment of Phelan-McDermid Syndrome (PMS), a genetic condition often associated with ASD. Preclinical development is ongoing, with a Phase 1 clinical trial anticipated to commence by the end of 2026.
