Overview

BA3241 is a Conditionally Active Biologic (CAB) monoclonal antibody of the IgG2 isotype that targets Cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA-4), developed by BioAtla. Utilizing BioAtla's proprietary CAB technology, BA3241 is engineered to selectively bind CTLA-4 in the acidic microenvironment of tumors (low pH) while remaining largely inactive at the physiological pH of healthy tissues. This tumor-selective binding is intended to improve the safety profile of CTLA-4 inhibition by reducing systemic immune-related adverse events (irAEs) while maintaining potent anti-tumor efficacy. BA3241 was evaluated as an alternative isotype candidate to BioAtla's lead clinical CAB-CTLA-4 antibody, BA3071 (an IgG1 isotype), for the treatment of various solid tumors.
