Overview

BAC (Multi-Glycan Complex) is a topical therapeutic candidate developed by Charsire Biotechnology Corp. for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and vascular dementia. It consists of a proprietary mixture of glycans derived from botanical sources, designed to improve cerebral microcirculation and provide neuroprotective effects. Unlike traditional dementia treatments that are administered orally or via injection, BAC is applied topically to the skin (typically the neck area over the carotid arteries), aiming to enhance blood flow to the brain and support neuronal health through a non-invasive delivery mechanism. The drug has been evaluated in Phase II clinical trials to assess its safety and efficacy in improving cognitive function in patients with dementia.
