BAC matched vehicle

The BAC matched vehicle is a topical placebo formulation developed by Charsire Biotechnology Corp. for use as a control in clinical trials evaluating the efficacy and safety of BAC in patients with Alzheimer's disease or vascular dementia. BAC is an innovative glycan-based biologic utilizing Multi-Glycan Complex (MGC) technology derived from soybeans, intended to improve cerebral blood circulation and promote nerve cell regeneration. The matched vehicle is designed to be identical to the active BAC formulation in appearance, odor, and application method but lacks the active MGC components. In Phase II randomized, double-blind studies, the vehicle was applied topically to the external nasal skin, scalp, and neck twice daily (30 g/day) for 12 weeks to provide a baseline for comparing the therapeutic effects of the active drug.
