Overview

Bactecal GE is a multi-strain probiotic and postbiotic dietary supplement developed by Astel Medica, a company based in Belgium and Luxembourg. It is specifically formulated to support digestive health and optimize intestinal transit, particularly in cases of soft stools or acute gastroenteritis. Each oral capsule contains 18 billion live bacteria from five specific strains: *Lactobacillus rhamnosus*, *Lactobacillus acidophilus*, *Bifidobacterium infantis*, *Bifidobacterium lactis*, and *Streptococcus thermophilus*. The formulation is further enhanced with the botanical ingredient *Terminalia chebula* (myrobalan), the prebiotic fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS), and vitamins A and D3. Clinical studies have indicated its efficacy in reducing the duration of diarrhea when used as an adjunct to oral rehydration therapy. The product is lactose-free, gluten-free, and suitable for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
