Overview

PharmaBiome's bacterial consortium for colorectal cancer (CRC) is a preclinical-stage live biotherapeutic product (LBP) consisting of a rationally assembled group of bacterial strains. Developed using the company's proprietary Niche-Map technology, the consortium is designed to restore specific microbiome functionalities that are disrupted in colorectal cancer biology. By co-culturing these strains in bioreactors, PharmaBiome aims to create a standardized, defined alternative to fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) that can modulate the gut environment to inhibit tumor progression or enhance the efficacy of other treatments. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
