Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Bactigyn Ovules is a vaginal suppository (ovule) developed by Laboratoire CCD and manufactured by Roelmi HPC. It is classified as a Class IIa medical device in Europe, indicated for the treatment and prevention of vaginal infections (such as vaginitis, bacterial vaginosis, and yeast infections) and their recurrences, as well as for relieving vaginal dryness and irritation. The formulation contains tyndallized *Lactobacillus rhamnosus* LRH020, lactic acid, sodium hyaluronate, galactoarabinan, and essential oils of tea tree (*Melaleuca alternifolia*) and white thyme. It works by forming a protective mucoadhesive film, restoring the physiological vaginal pH, providing antimicrobial and antifungal effects, and supporting the restoration of the natural vaginal flora.
