Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BAFFR BiTE is a bispecific T-cell engager (BiTE) developed by PeproMene Bio, Inc. It is designed to target the B-cell activating factor receptor (BAFF-R) on tumor cells and the T-cell surface glycoprotein CD3 on T cells. The drug functions by redirecting T cells to tumor cells, activating the T cells to exert cytotoxic activity, and ultimately inducing apoptosis in the tumor cells. This therapeutic approach is being developed for the treatment of neoplasms, particularly B-cell malignancies. The drug utilizes "knobs-into-holes" technology in its construction and is currently in preclinical development.
