BAH248

BAH248 is an autologous tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy being developed by Essen Biotech for the treatment of colon and rectum cancer. The therapeutic process involves isolating naturally occurring T cells, specifically the CD8+ and CD4+ subsets, from a patient's own tumor tissue. These cells are then expanded ex vivo to large quantities and reinfused into the patient, typically following a lymphodepleting conditioning regimen. Once reinfused, these TILs are capable of recognizing and attacking colorectal cancer cells by targeting a broad spectrum of tumor-specific antigens through their endogenous T-cell receptors. BAH248 is currently in Phase 2 clinical development.
