Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Baijianggu is an absorbable biological membrane developed by Baiyiyuan BioTech, composed of Small Intestinal Submucosa-derived Extracellular Matrix (SIS-ECM). It functions as a bioactive scaffold that facilitates endogenous tissue regeneration and wound healing by providing a structural framework for cellular attachment, migration, and tissue remodeling. The membrane is intended for surgical use in wound repair and tissue reconstruction, where it serves as a temporary barrier or reinforcement that is eventually absorbed and replaced by the patient's own native tissue. As a biomaterial-based medical device, it leverages the regenerative properties of the extracellular matrix to promote healing without the need for traditional pharmaceutical active ingredients.
