Overview

Bailing tablet is a multi-component patent Chinese medicine widely used in China for the treatment of vitiligo. Its therapeutic effects are attributed to its ability to regulate immune inflammation, apoptosis, and autophagy. The drug influences various signaling pathways, including phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase (PI3K)/Akt, mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK), and Janus kinase (JAK)/signal transducer and activator of transcription (STAT). It also promotes melanin production, increases photosensitivity, improves tyrosinase activity, enhances local skin microcirculation, and stimulates melanocyte proliferation. The formulation is composed of several traditional Chinese herbs, including Angelica sinensis, peach kernel, safflower, astragalus, Panax notoginseng, Fangfeng, Angelica dahurica, red peony root, peony bark, purslane, and atractylodes.
