Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Baiying Juhua Decoction (BYJHD) is a traditional Chinese herbal formula primarily composed of the medicinal plants *Solanum lyratum* and *Chrysanthemum*. It is traditionally used in clinical settings and has been investigated for its therapeutic potential in treating non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The decoction exerts its anti-tumor effects primarily through anti-angiogenic mechanisms, specifically by inhibiting the ACVRL-1/Smad/ID-1 signaling pathway and downregulating the expression of CD34, a marker of vascular endothelial cells. Research utilizing network pharmacology and machine learning has identified dozens of bioactive compounds within the formula that interact with multiple protein targets associated with cancer progression and angiogenesis.
