Bamifylline is a methylxanthine derivative and selective A1 adenosine receptor antagonist primarily used as a bronchodilator in the treatment of respiratory conditions such as bronchial asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)[1][2][4][6]. Its main indications are for relief of symptoms associated with asthma and COPD such as wheezing and shortness of breath[1].
