Overview

Bao Yin Jian is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) classic formula being developed by Wannianqing Pharmaceutical as a modern herbal compound preparation. Originating from the Ming Dynasty text *Jingyue Quanshu*, the formula is traditionally indicated for Yin deficiency syndrome accompanied by blood heat. It typically comprises eight herbal ingredients, including Rehmannia root (Sheng Di Huang and Shu Di Huang), White Peony root, Chinese Yam, Scutellaria, and Phellodendron. The preparation aims to nourish Yin, clear internal heat, and cool the blood, making it particularly relevant for treating gynecological conditions such as menorrhagia or threatened miscarriage associated with heat-induced blood recklessness. Wannianqing is currently progressing the candidate through preclinical development under the simplified registration pathway for ancient classic formulas in China.
