Overview

BASH-002 is an investigational small molecule inhibitor currently in preclinical development by Bash Biotech (also referred to as Bash Today) for the treatment of kidney cancer, specifically renal cell carcinoma (RCC). The drug is designed to target hypoxia-inducible factor 2-alpha (HIF-2α), a critical transcription factor that drives the expression of genes involved in angiogenesis, cell proliferation, and survival. In many kidney cancers, particularly those with von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) gene mutations, HIF-2α is constitutively active, making it a validated therapeutic target. BASH-002 is being developed as a potent and selective agent to disrupt this oncogenic signaling pathway. It follows the company's lead program, BASH-001, as part of a pipeline focused on precision oncology and targeted small molecule therapeutics.
