Overview

BAT4706 is a recombinant, fully human, Fc glycosylation-modified anti-CTLA-4 monoclonal antibody developed by Bio-Thera Solutions for the treatment of solid tumors. It is considered a second-generation CTLA-4 antibody designed to enhance efficacy compared to first-generation therapies. The drug acts as an immune checkpoint inhibitor by targeting cytotoxic T lymphocyte antigen 4 (CTLA-4), thereby promoting T cell activation and antitumor immune responses. Its mechanism of action includes inhibition of CTLA-4, stimulation of T lymphocytes, and induction of antibody-dependent cell cytotoxicity. BAT4706 is currently in phase 1 clinical trials for advanced solid tumors and melanoma, primarily being studied in China[1][2][3].
