Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BAT2406 is a proposed biosimilar to dupilumab being developed by Bio-Thera Solutions as a recombinant monoclonal antibody targeting the interleukin-4 receptor alpha subunit (IL-4Rα). By binding IL-4Rα, it blocks signaling of both IL‑4 and IL‑13, key type 2 cytokines that drive inflammatory pathways in a range of autoimmune and allergic diseases, mirroring the mechanism of the reference product Dupixent (dupilumab).[1][3][5][13] BAT2406 has received NMPA approval for clinical trials in China and is currently in phase 1 development for autoimmune disorders, with regional commercialization partnerships in Latin America.[10][13][14][15]
