Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BAT8006 is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed by Bio-Thera Solutions for the treatment of advanced solid tumors, with a primary focus on platinum-resistant epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, and primary peritoneal cancers. The drug consists of a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody targeting folate receptor α (FRα), conjugated to a small molecule topoisomerase I inhibitor payload (exatecan derivative). This design enables selective delivery of the cytotoxic agent to FRα-expressing tumor cells, leading to DNA damage and cell death. Preclinical and early clinical studies have demonstrated promising antitumor activity and manageable safety in patients with various solid tumors including ovarian cancer, endometrial cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, cervical cancer, and breast cancer[1][2][3][5][8].
