BAT8007

BAT8007 is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed by Bio-Thera Solutions for the treatment of solid tumors. It targets Nectin-4 (Nectin cell adhesion molecule 4), a member of the nectin subfamily of immunoglobulin-like adhesion molecules involved in Ca(2+)-independent cell-cell adhesion. Nectin-4 is overexpressed in various solid tumors, including urothelial carcinoma, breast cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, esophageal cancer, and head and neck cancers. The ADC uses a proprietary cleavable but systemically stable linker to attach a small molecule topoisomerase I inhibitor payload (Exatecan), which interferes with DNA replication and transcription to induce apoptosis. The payload has strong membrane penetration ability and can produce a bystander effect by killing nearby tumor cells after release from targeted cells. Preclinical studies have shown high anti-tumor activity and good safety profile for BAT8007[1][3][5][8].
