Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BAT8008 is an investigational antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed by Bio-Thera Solutions for the treatment of multiple solid tumors. It consists of a monoclonal antibody targeting Tumor-associated calcium signal transducer 2 (TROP2), which is overexpressed in many epithelial cancers, linked to a small molecule topoisomerase I inhibitor payload via a cleavable but systemically stable linker. Upon binding to TROP2 on tumor cells, BAT8008 is internalized and releases its cytotoxic payload, exatecan, leading to targeted cell death and a bystander effect that can kill neighboring cancer cells. The drug is being evaluated as both monotherapy and in combination with other agents in various cancer types including triple-negative breast cancer, gastric cancer, endometrial carcinoma, glioblastoma multiforme, hepatocellular carcinoma, non-small cell lung cancer, ovarian epithelial carcinoma, renal cell carcinoma, stomach adenocarcinoma, uterine cervical cancer and advanced malignant solid neoplasms[1][3][4][5][8].
