Bawei Lidan Granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the Jilin Province Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine for the treatment of hepatobiliary conditions. It is primarily indicated for chronic cholecystitis and gallstones (cholelithiasis). The formulation is designed to clear damp-heat, promote gallbladder function, and facilitate the expulsion of stones according to TCM principles. Its pharmacological effects include increasing bile secretion (choleretic effect), enhancing gallbladder contraction, and providing anti-inflammatory and analgesic relief in the biliary tract. The "eight flavors" in its name refer to its constituent herbal ingredients, which typically include *Artemisia capillaris*, *Curcuma wenyujin*, and *Rheum palmatum*, among others. It is administered orally as granules and is a registered pharmaceutical product in China.
