Overview
Baxuan (巴旋片) is an investigational Class 1.1 Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) tablet being developed for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus, impaired glucose tolerance, and mild hyperglycemia, particularly in patients with kidney-yang deficiency syndrome. It was originated by the Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Academy of Military Medical Sciences, and is being co-developed with Beijing Suliman Pharmaceutical Technology. Baxuan is currently in Phase I clinical development in China, where its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics are being evaluated in healthy adult volunteers.
