Overview

BAY 84-3174 is an active metabolite of neladenoson bialanate (BAY 1067197), a prodrug developed by Bayer. Neladenoson bialanate is a potent and selective partial agonist of the adenosine A1 receptor, designed to provide cardioprotection without the unwanted side effects of full A1R agonists, such as bradycardia or atrioventricular blocks. It has been investigated for the oral treatment of chronic heart failure.
