Overview

This is a **combination therapy** of atuveciclib (BAY1143572) and granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF). **Atuveciclib (BAY1143572)** is a highly selective, orally available, small molecule inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinase 9 (CDK9) that impairs transcription regulation critical for cancer cell survival, and is under development primarily for the treatment of acute leukemia and advanced cancer. **G-CSF** (granulocyte colony-stimulating factor) is a cytokine and growth factor used to stimulate the production of neutrophils (a type of white blood cell), commonly administered as filgrastim or pegfilgrastim for the prevention or treatment of chemotherapy-induced neutropenia. The rationale for combining these agents is to manage neutropenia, a side effect of intensive anticancer regimens, especially those targeting hematologic malignancies, thereby supporting higher dose intensity and improving tolerance to cytotoxic therapies[1][2][3][4][5][6][7].
