Overview

BAY3630942 is a monoclonal antibody developed as an imaging agent for use in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and other select solid tumors. It is labeled with the radioactive isotope zirconium-89 (^89Zr), allowing its distribution and localization to be tracked in the body using PET/CT imaging. The antibody targets glypican-3 (GPC3), a protein frequently expressed on the surface of liver cancer cells, enabling specific tumor targeting. The primary aim of current clinical studies is to evaluate the biodistribution, dosimetry, safety, and pharmacokinetics of BAY3630942 following pre-infusion with another monoclonal antibody-chelator conjugate (BAY3547922). This agent is not yet approved for therapeutic use but may inform future development of targeted radiotherapeutics for cancer[1][5][4].
