BB-TL1A

BB-TL1A is a human monoclonal antibody that targets the tumor necrosis factor superfamily member 15 (TL1A, also called VEGI) and functions as a TL1A inhibitor. TL1A is implicated in the pathogenesis of immune-mediated diseases, particularly inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including ulcerative colitis. By inhibiting TL1A, BB-TL1A aims to reduce inflammation and potentially prevent fibrostenotic complications in the gut. The antibody is being developed by Battery Bio Australia and is currently in Phase 1 clinical trials for ulcerative colitis, where it is being evaluated for safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, immunogenicity, and preliminary efficacy. The drug is administered as a single dose via injection.
