Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BB709 is a combination of repurposed, FDA-approved small-molecule compounds being developed by BalinBac Therapeutics for the treatment of COVID-19. As part of BalinBac's BB-700 Series (which spans BB-700 to BB-719), the drug is designed to deliver multiple distinct mechanisms of action to directly combat SARS-CoV-2 replication and associated complications in the lungs. By combining existing generic drugs with established safety profiles, BalinBac aims to accelerate the development timeline. BB709 is currently in IND-enabling and DMPK/safety studies.
