Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BBI-03 is a preclinical, topically applied small-molecule inhibitor of dual-specificity tyrosine phosphorylation-regulated kinase 1A (DYRK1A), being developed for autoimmune and inflammatory skin diseases. As part of a DYRK1A inhibitor platform originally created by Voronoi and acquired by Brickell Biotech (now Fresh Tracks Therapeutics), BBI-03 is designed for local cutaneous delivery to modulate pathogenic immune signaling while limiting systemic exposure.[1][2][5][10] By selectively inhibiting DYRK1A, BBI-03 aims to restore immune balance in affected tissues, potentially addressing conditions such as atopic dermatitis and other dermatologic manifestations of immune dysregulation.[2][5][10]
