Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BBP-717 is an investigational, next-generation monoclonal antibody designed to clear existing amyloid deposits in patients with transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM). Developed by BridgeBio Pharma, BBP-717 is engineered as an amyloid 'depleter' with high-affinity binding for misfolded transthyretin (TTR) fibrils and no detectable binding to native TTR tetramers. It is designed to enhance macrophage phagocytosis of amyloid deposits through Fcγ receptor (FcγR) activation. BBP-717 is intended to complement near-complete TTR stabilization therapies, such as BridgeBio's approved stabilizer Attruby (acoramidis). BridgeBio nominated BBP-717 as a development candidate in Q3 2026 and plans to submit an Investigational New Drug (IND) application to the FDA in 2027.
