Overview

BBT-007 is a long-acting, PEGylated analog of granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) engineered using site-specific PEGylation to extend circulating half-life and enhance hematopoietic activity relative to native murine GM-CSF. BBT-007 (also referred to as PEG-T3C) is the murine homolog of a human GM-CSF (A3C) analog, retains in vitro bioactivity comparable to murine GM-CSF, and exhibits roughly a 10-fold longer half-life following subcutaneous administration in rodents, leading to greater and more sustained increases in neutrophils and white blood cells, and faster recovery of hematopoietic lineages after cytotoxic insult or radiation exposure.[1][4][15] Developed by Bolder BioTechnology, it is being advanced preclinically as a supportive care and radiation countermeasure agent to reduce mortality and accelerate multi-lineage blood cell recovery in settings such as hematopoietic syndrome of acute radiation syndrome and treatment-induced neutropenia.[1][4][5][7]
