Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BBT-018 is a recombinant fusion protein, specifically an ImmunoFusion Protein, being developed by Bolder BioTechnology for the treatment of neutropenia and Acute Radiation Syndrome (ARS). The drug is designed as a long-acting version of granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF). By utilizing Bolder's proprietary ImmunoFusion technology, which involves fusing the therapeutic protein to an immunoglobulin-based scaffold, BBT-018 aims to activate the G-CSF receptor to stimulate the production and maturation of neutrophils while significantly extending the protein's half-life. Preclinical studies in rodent models have demonstrated that BBT-018 can be administered less frequently than standard G-CSF and may be more effective at accelerating recovery from chemotherapy-induced neutropenia.
