BBT002

BBT002 is a novel, half-life extended bispecific antibody developed by Bambusa Therapeutics. It is designed as a "platform in a molecule" to target multiple inflammatory and immunological diseases, with broad applications across respiratory, dermatology, and gastroenterology indications. Mechanistically, BBT002 is a tetravalent (2+2) bispecific antibody that simultaneously targets the interleukin-4/interleukin-13 (IL-4/13) pathway and the interleukin-5 (IL-5) pathway. The molecule features Fc modifications to extend its half-life. Preclinical data suggest best-in-disease potential for improved efficacy and dosing convenience compared to currently approved biologics. The drug is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), with additional development planned or considered for asthma, chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps, chronic spontaneous urticaria, eosinophilic esophagitis, food allergy, and other inflammatory conditions[1][2][3][6].
