BBV152C is a component of BBV152 (Covaxin), a whole virion inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine developed by Bharat Biotech in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) - National Institute of Virology (NIV). It is formulated with a Toll-like receptor 7/8 agonist molecule adsorbed to alum (Algel-IMDG) as an adjuvant. The vaccine is manufactured using a vero cell platform (CCL-81) and has shown efficacy against symptomatic and asymptomatic COVID-19, including protection against the Delta variant.
