Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BC-015 is an investigational small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapeutic developed by BaseCure Therapeutics for the treatment of hypercholesterolemia and other lipid disorders. It is designed to target and silence the expression of both proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) and angiopoietin-like 3 (ANGPTL3), two key proteins involved in cholesterol and lipid regulation. By inhibiting these targets, BC-015 aims to lower low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and triglycerides in patients who do not achieve adequate control with standard therapies such as statins. It is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1b/2a clinical trial.
