Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BC0305 is an investigational long-acting glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist being developed by Shandong Danhong Pharmaceutical, a subsidiary of Buchang Pharma. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. As a GLP-1 receptor agonist, BC0305 mimics the action of the endogenous incretin hormone GLP-1, which enhances glucose-dependent insulin secretion, suppresses glucagon release, and slows gastric emptying. These mechanisms collectively improve glycemic control and may also support weight management. BC0305 is classified as a Class 1 innovative biological drug in China and is administered via subcutaneous injection.
