Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BC0306 is an orally bioavailable small molecule pan-peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (pan-PPAR) agonist developed by Shandong Danhong Pharmaceutical, a subsidiary of Buchang Pharma. It is primarily being investigated for the treatment of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), also known as metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). By targeting and activating all three PPAR isoforms—alpha (α), delta (δ), and gamma (γ)—BC0306 aims to address the multi-factorial nature of NASH by improving hepatic lipid metabolism, increasing insulin sensitivity, and reducing liver inflammation and fibrogenesis. The drug is currently in Phase 1 clinical development in China.
