Overview

BC19 CAR-T is an autologous, bispecific chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to simultaneously target B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) and CD19. The therapy utilizes a second-generation CAR construct that incorporates a 4-1BB costimulatory domain and a CD3ζ signaling domain. By targeting both BCMA, which is highly expressed on malignant plasma cells, and CD19, which is expressed across the B-cell lineage, BC19 CAR-T aims to achieve deeper clinical responses and reduce the risk of antigen-escape-mediated relapse. It is primarily being developed for the treatment of relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma and has shown promise in treating B-cell mediated autoimmune disorders such as refractory generalized myasthenia gravis and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP).
