Overview

BC1H-P1E3D2 CAR-T is an investigational chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to target CD70, a type II transmembrane glycoprotein in the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand superfamily that is aberrantly expressed in various hematologic and solid malignancies. Developed by BioCell Innovations, the therapy utilizes a humanized single-chain variable fragment (scFv), BC1H-P1E3D2, which was optimized for high-affinity binding and functional blocking of CD70. The scFv is incorporated into a lentiviral CAR vector. Preclinical data presented at ASGCT 2026 indicated that BC1H-P1E3D2 CAR-T cells achieve high surface expression and demonstrate potent cytolytic activity against acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and CD70-positive solid tumor models, outperforming clinical-stage benchmark constructs. Current development is focused on optimizing CAR-T persistence and managing potential fratricide risks.
