Overview

BC3402 is a monoclonal antibody that targets the inhibitory T-cell receptor TIM-3 (T-cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain-containing protein 3; also known as HAVCR2). By antagonizing TIM-3, an immune checkpoint molecule expressed on T cells and other immune cells, BC3402 is designed to enhance antitumor immunity by blocking inhibitory signals that suppress the immune response against cancer. The drug has shown potential immune checkpoint inhibitory and antineoplastic activities. It is being developed for use in various malignant blood diseases—including myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML), acute myeloid leukemia (AML)—and advanced solid tumors such as hepatocellular carcinoma. Clinical trials are ongoing in both China and the United States, with studies evaluating its efficacy alone or in combination with other agents like demethylating drugs or durvalumab[1][3][4][5][7].
