Overview

BC3425 is a monoclonal antibody targeting C-C chemokine receptor type 8 (CCR8), currently in Phase 1 clinical development for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. Developed by Biocity (Zhikang Hongyi), the antibody is designed to selectively deplete CCR8-positive regulatory T cells (Tregs) within the tumor microenvironment through antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC). CCR8 is highly and specifically expressed on tumor-infiltrating Tregs compared to peripheral Tregs or other effector T cells, making it a promising target for reducing local immunosuppression without inducing systemic autoimmunity. By eliminating these suppressive cells, BC3425 aims to restore and enhance the anti-tumor immune response, potentially serving as a monotherapy or in combination with other immune checkpoint inhibitors.
