Overview

BCD-057 is an adalimumab biosimilar developed by Biocad. It is a fully human recombinant monoclonal IgG1 antibody that specifically targets tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α). By binding to TNF-α, it prevents the activation of TNF receptors, which are responsible for inflammatory reactions associated with autoimmune diseases. BCD-057 has demonstrated equivalent efficacy, safety, pharmacokinetics, and immunogenicity to the innovator adalimumab (Humira) in clinical trials for moderate to severe plaque psoriasis.
