BCD-121

BCD-121 is a bispecific monoclonal antibody developed by Biocad for the treatment of autoimmune diseases, particularly rheumatoid arthritis. It is designed to simultaneously inhibit two key inflammatory cytokines, interleukin-17 (IL-17) and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), by binding to both targets at once. This dual blockade aims to provide superior efficacy compared to monospecific antibodies that target only one protein, potentially benefiting patients who have become resistant to single-target therapies. BCD-121 is administered subcutaneously and has completed phase 1 clinical trials in healthy volunteers[1][2][3][4][5].
