Overview

BCD-236 + chemotherapy is a combination therapeutic regimen being developed by Biocad for the treatment of advanced malignancies, specifically triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). BCD-236 is an investigational monoclonal antibody designed to target the AXL receptor tyrosine kinase, a member of the TAM receptor family. AXL is frequently overexpressed in TNBC and is associated with epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT), increased metastatic potential, and resistance to standard cytotoxic therapies. By inhibiting AXL signaling, BCD-236 is intended to sensitize tumor cells to the effects of chemotherapy and inhibit disease progression. In clinical trials, BCD-236 is administered intravenously in combination with investigator-selected chemotherapy agents (such as gemcitabine, carboplatin, or eribulin) to patients with relapsed or metastatic AXL-positive TNBC.
