Overview

BCD-263 is an intravenously administered biosimilar of nivolumab developed by Biocad for the treatment of advanced melanoma. It is a monoclonal antibody that targets programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1), functioning as an immune checkpoint inhibitor. By blocking PD-1, it enhances the immune system's ability to recognize and destroy cancer cells. The drug is currently in phase 3 clinical trials for use as monotherapy in patients with unresectable or metastatic melanoma[1][2][3][9].
