Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BCG036 is a next-generation bispecific monoclonal antibody developed by Biocytogen for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and other solid tumors. The molecule is designed to simultaneously target Programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) and Vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGFA). It combines an anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody with a fully human anti-VEGFA VHH (single-domain antibody) derived from Biocytogen's RenNano® platform. By dual-blocking these pathways, BCG036 aims to restore T-cell mediated anti-tumor immunity while simultaneously inhibiting tumor-induced angiogenesis. The drug's Fc region has been engineered for half-life extension to potentially improve dosing convenience. Currently, BCG036 is in the Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) stage of development, following the completion of pre-toxicology studies.
